Head of Finance

We are Outreach, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Gloo, the largest church communication company in the world. We design, produce and market products that equip church leaders around the globe.

The core mission of this role is to oversee the public company GAAP financial systems, provide managerial and leadership expertise to our finance department; expert analysis on business, equipment, financial, cash and COGS related needs as well as join our team as a positive contributing member.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Financial reporting and compliance:

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
Maintain compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and other regulatory requirements.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for Outreach.
Provide variance analysis and explain deviations from forecasts.
Provide strategic leadership through expert & timely financial analysis.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

Maintain, develop as needed and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial accuracy.

Cost Management & Operational Efficiency

Analyze cost structures to identify efficiencies and improve margins.
Work closely with business leaders to optimize financial performance.

Accounting Oversight & Policy Adherence

Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounting and proper application of accounting policies.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

Liaison with Corporate Finance & Auditors

Serve as the primary Outreach point of contact for corporate finance teams and external auditors.
Align divisional reporting with corporate strategies and compliance requirements.

Servant leader and team player

Lead finance team consistent with Outreach culture while ensuring Best Christian Workplace scores are above a 4.0.
Support the broader Outreach team as a valuable analyst to support better business decisions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Aligned with company culture and a commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Outreach.
Strong technical accounting accounting skills supporting auditors.
Excellent written, verbal and data skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant degree.
Masters in Accountancy, MBA, and/or CPA preferred.
Some public accounting experience preferred
Expertise in GAAP & regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with ERP systems; Acumatica is a plus.
10 years of relevant experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Communicating with others (multiple video/audio calls each day) to exchange information.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

All meetings are video meetings, requiring visual and audio interaction (we use Google Meet with live captioning for those with hearing loss).
