Salary Description
$90k - $110k

Responsibilities
  • Architect, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Design and implement data mesh architecture principles, including domain-driven design, decentralized data ownership, and federated governance to enable flexible and scalable data solutions.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and analytics solutions, optimizing query performance and resource utilization.
  • Design and implement data models and schemas optimized for analytical queries and reporting, leveraging Microsoft Fabric capabilities for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Document data pipelines, architecture designs and best practices, and actively participate in knowledge-sharing activities to enable the broader team to leverage analytics solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure analytics solutions align with organizational objectives and deliver value to end-users.
  • Provide training and mentorship to internal teams to leverage analytics solutions effectively, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.

Requirements
  • Highly skilled and motivated Analytics Engineer to help facilitate the migration of our tech stack from bespoke, hand-crafted code to a managed service instance of the Microsoft stack. 
  • Proven experience working with Microsoft Fabric, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and related services.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and PowerShell for data manipulation, automation, and scripting tasks.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques, and dimensional modeling principles.
  • Experience with lakehouse architecture principles, including the integration of data lakes and data warehouses for unified data storage, management, and analytics.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Delta Lake for transactional capabilities on data lakes, schema enforcement, and time travel features.
  • Experience with designing and implementing ETL/ELT processes, data integration solutions, and data pipelines in a cloud environment.
  • Solid knowledge of database systems, both relational (e.g., SQL Server) and NoSQL (e.g., Cosmos DB), and proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with data governance practices and data quality management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
