Role: Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) 
Job Design: Exceptional Digital Product Design 70%; Design System Management 20%; Design Team Leadership 10% 

Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in design, digital art, interaction design, product design, or a related field or 8 years of equivalent work experience. Additionally, this role requires a minimum of 6-8 years of experience in the digital creative field. Your experience must include a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a key interaction/visual designer within a product design and UX/UI team. Proven expertise in the development and management of design systems, with specific experience in modern design software. Demonstrable experience with storytelling techniques to effectively communicate and promote design ideas. Familiarity with frameworks such as Design Thinking and Jobs to be Done (JTBD), and the ability to adapt to evolving workflow philosophies. Proficient in responsive/mobile design principles and best practices. Extensive knowledge of layout principles, typography, and design best practices for both web and mobile platforms. Expertise in a variety of digital design software and prototyping tools. 

Preferred Experience: Prefer agency experience (in-house or external). Knowledge of how CSS and HTML work as it relates to how things are built by developers and come to life. Motion design skills are a plus. 

Salary Range: $82,632.63 - $131,997.59. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. The typical hiring range is $100,000 - $112,000. Location: Remote - United States. The role can be based in nearly 40 states

Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life. Actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, devotions, chapel, prayer, worship); incorporate our core values into decisions within the scope of the role.
  2. Product-Centric Approach: Incorporate a deep comprehension of product design, user needs, business goals, and technical constraints into all designs.
  3. User Interface & Interaction Design: Create content diagrams, content maps, wireframes, comprehensive user flow, and both low and high-fidelity prototypes.
  4. Responsive Design: Deliver responsive designs (desktop, mobile, tablet) in collaboration with the Digital Experience Team.
  5. Design Frameworks: Employ current methodologies, including Design Thinking and Jobs to be Done, to deliver comprehensive design solutions.
  6. Design Systems Management: Develop, maintain, and evolve a comprehensive design system, ensuring consistency across all digital products. Collaborate with stakeholders, front-end developers, and other designers to ensure that the design system is up-to-date, relevant, and effectively meets the needs of users and the business. Drive the adoption and adherence of the design system guidelines, promoting a consistent and cohesive user experience across all touchpoints.
  7. Research: Stay updated on the latest industry UX/UI trends, competitor strategies, and emergent interactive technologies.
  8. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the product development cycle to ensure a seamless and coherent user experience.
  9. Meetings: Participate in key internal meetings including client discovery meetings to understand business goals and objectives.
  10. Project Tracking: Document ongoing progress and status on work assignments in agency project management software and communicate updates during daily stand-ups. 10/9/2023
  11. Development Liaison: Work closely with front-end developers to ensure UX/UI and product design standards are met.
  12. Storytelling: Use the art of storytelling to effectively communicate design decisions, user journeys, and the holistic vision of the product to stakeholders, ensuring buy-in and a shared understanding of the product's purpose and direction
  13. Data-Driven Design: Implement data-driven interface design methods based on user and UX research.
  14. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with a cross-functional team to align visual strategy with UX, content marketing, and brand strategy.
  15. Mentorship: May mentor and provide direction to emerging digital designers, imparting a product-centric approach. 

What success looks like  
  1. Deliver exceptional design: Create and execute elevated concepts that align with the World Vision’s mission, vision, and objectives, ensuring consistently intuitive and delightful user experiences across all products.
  2. Foster innovation and design thinking: Champion a culture of innovation and design thinking within the team by regularly introducing new design concepts, methodologies, and tools to drive product excellence.
  3. Drive user engagement and retention: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve user engagement and retention rates by designing intuitive, user-centered digital experiences that meet or exceed defined KPIs.
  4. Enhance cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to streamline the product creation process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality designs.
  5. Continuous improvement and user feedback: Work with design research to facilitate a robust feedback loop by gathering and analyzing user feedback, conducting usability tests, and iterating on designs to continuously improve the user experience and meet organization OKR targets.

You Bring

Salary Range & Benefits Your compensation and benefits are important to you so they’re important to us. $82,632.63 - $131,997.59. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. The typical hiring range is $100,000 - $112,000.Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity.
