Ligonier Ministries is hiring a
Remote Senior Project Manager

If you are a project manager who wants to advance the mission of Ligonier Ministries by leading multiple, high profile/high impact projects, then you might be the perfect candidate for this role. As an experienced project manager who can analyze problems, consult on leading edge technology decisions, and build comprehensive solutions, you have the knowledge and passion necessary to manage projects in Ligonier’s project portfolio.  

Your responsibilities would include managing multiple projects that include projects in Ligonier’s SDLC portfolio as well as projects in Ligonier’s Enterprise Project portfolio. You would also play a critical role in leading the ministry in good project management practices and mentoring new and aspiring project management professionals.  

By effectively managing projects, you will enable Ligonier Ministries to efficiently achieve its mission of proclaiming the holiness of God and helping people grow in their faith. Your project management expertise will help the organization streamline processes, maximize resources, and reach a wider audience with our message.

To succeed in this role, you must have excellent attention to detail, be highly organized, maintain detailed documentation, be flexible, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. By doing so, you will ensure that the organization benefits from your expertise and achieves its goals. 
 
As a project manager for Ligonier, you will be expected to: 
  • Manage multiple software development and technology renovation projects as well as manage strategic non-development projects. 
  • Develop project plans based on previously scoped requirements; manage scope of projects from inception to closure. 
  • Define, develop, and actively manage implementation schedules, business process refinements and project budgets. 
  • Coordinate resources, ensure efficient completion of project milestones, control project scope and mitigate risks. 
  • Meet with prospects and existing customers to understand and document their business processes and requirements. 
  • Create production schedules for current and planned projects, ensuring follow-through by all parties. 
  • Testing and promoting modification to the production environment. 
  • Contribute to Ligonier’s PMO efforts to raise the general project management competency of the ministry. 
  • Mentor and consult other project managers in proper practice, situational awareness, and execution. 

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have: 
  • Five years of project management role experience. 
  • Experience working as a project manager for technical projects.  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, team environment. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the desire to deliver quality deliverables. 
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information. 
  • Experience managing projects cross functional/departmental components. 
  • Ability to proactively identify what needs to be done and then take action. 
  • Adhere to and champion Ligonier data security policies. 
  • Meet the attendance requirements of the position. 
  • Agreement with the Ligonier Ministries General Statement of Faith. 
  • PMP or Agile certification is preferred. 

This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, FL. At this time, we are only able to hire individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
