Remote Term-Based Project Manager - Salesforce

📍 Remote

Description:  
We are seeking a highly skilled and PMP-certified Term-Based Project Manager to lead our Salesforce project team through a critical expansion initiative spanning 12-15 months for our US-based operations. This role involves collaborating closely with our onsite development team, managing extensive change management and requirements gathering efforts, and ensuring the successful implementation of our Salesforce platform expansion project.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Include But Not Limited To)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Project Planning and Execution:
  • Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining tasks, timelines, and resources necessary for the 12-15 months Salesforce platform expansion for US operations.
  • Oversee the seamless execution of the project plan, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and standards.
  • Utilize Mercy Ships standardized processes and documentation for project management and implementation.

Collaboration with Onsite Development Team:
  • Work closely with our onsite development team, fostering collaboration and ensuring the integration of new Salesforce features with the current platform.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between project stakeholders, the onsite development team, and other relevant parties.Lead the team in adhering to Mercy Ships' standardized processes and documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Gathering:
  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into effective Salesforce solutions.
  • Lead comprehensive requirements-gathering efforts, ensuring all stakeholder expectations are captured and integrated into the project scope.

Change Management:
  • Develop and implement a robust change management strategy to facilitate smooth transitions for end-users impacted by the Salesforce platform expansion.

Quality Assurance and Testing:
  • Establish stringent quality assurance protocols, including thorough testing processes, to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of the expanded Salesforce platform.
  • Address and resolve issues identified during testing phases, ensuring a reliable, secure, and user-friendly platform.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and change management plans.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions within the team, ensuring a shared understanding of the expanded platform's features and functionalities.
  • Uphold the use of standardized processes and documentation in all project-related activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Requirements)

  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Willing and able to lead in challenging situations and be an excellent communicator.

Education And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically in Salesforce implementations and expansions, involving significant change management efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex requirements-gathering processes and change management initiatives.
