Data Engineer

📍 Edmond, OK

The Technology Solutions Team equips the Life.Church staff with the resources and technology that allow the team to know people, tell their stories, and invite others to use their gifts to build the church. We work to empower ministry through the use of technology.

The Data Insights Data Engineer is responsible for implementing methods to improve data reliability and quality. This role combines raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats. Data Engineers are responsible for the processes of installation, data back up, and routine updates for databases. They will also develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling.

What You'll Do
  • Data management.
  • Responsible for installation, back-ups, and performing routine updates on organizational databases.
  • Maintain data integrity through high-performance optimization.
  • Manage system integrations to ensure an accurate flow of data while maintaining uptime rates.
  • Data modeling.
  • Build and implement data mapping, forecasting, and queries.
  • Machine Learning and AI.
  • Implement and manage ETL and data warehouse processes to ensure clean sources of data for analysts to report from.

Skills Needed to Succeed
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain relationships and partnerships.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain a systematic and organized approach to completing assignments accurately, thoroughly, and timely.
  • Clearly explain complicated and detailed processes in a concise and simple way.
  • Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and problem-solve.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment and work independently.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in languages such as Python and SQL.
  • Cloud computing skills(Google Cloud).
