What This Role is All About Is this the right seat for you?
The Director of Sales will report to the CEO and own responsibility for converting leads and driving revenue generation from net-new customers. You are obsessed with understanding the needs of customers and addressing their most painful challenges. You are a methodical, detail-oriented sales leader who focuses on developing and leading a best-in-class sales team. You are hands-on and “in the weeds” to support your team. You run a tight and rigorous process and hold yourself and your team accountable for hitting goals. You manage the pipeline with focus and intensity, creating an environment where confidence in future performance is always high.

You’ll develop a broad and deep understanding of our customers, the marketplace, our product, our competitors, and how to evangelize the value we offer that helps small and medium sized ministries thrive. Of course, you won’t work alone; as a values-based servant leader, you will work with a small, passionate, and dedicated team across the business at Servant Keeper. 

Your responsibilities will include, though not necessarily be limited to, the following:
  • Manage the existing Sales team (3 AEs, 1 BDR, and 1 Rev Ops) and expand as necessary to more than double recurring revenue generation over the next 3 years
  • Build and continually improve Servant Keeper’s sales processes and motions to maximize conversion of MQLs in a high-volume, low ACV (~$1-3k ACV), 30-60 day sales cycle environment
  • Closely support the AEs in the sales team, joining sales calls as required to coach, mentor, train, and upskill, driving performance improvement
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance updates and forecasts to the senior management team
  • Establish accountability within the sales function by developing appropriate targets and coordinating compensation and progression plans that reward achievement
  • Develop, implement, and oversee robust processes for new business development and outbound lead generation that optimize efficiency
  • As necessary, develop any sales assets required by the team
  • Ensure we are listening to the market and that customer feedback from the sales process is fed into the product organization

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated success leading a sales team, with a track record of growing recurring revenue in B2B SaaS sales
  • Successfully led a sales team through a transition to value-based selling in a small ACV, high volume environment
  • Experience in a high-volume SaaS organization, ideally with a focus on building revenue with ministries, non-profits, and/or mission-minded organizations
  • Demonstrated experience building, inspiring, and managing a high-performing sales team in a high-growth environment while driving cross-functional processes
  • Experience and capability in using SalesForce CRM to optimize sales process, visibility, and efficiency
  • Nice to have: Experience with RingCentral communications system, RingSense revenue intelligence tool, and SalesForce Sales Engagement tool
