Remote Web Services UX Designer

The Trilogy Digital Platforms team serves several networks and enterprises with state-of-the-art streaming products and web services.  (Dr. Phil’s Merit Street, PBR, Positiv TV, Theatrical Film Releases, etc.)

TDP is looking for a Web Services UX Designer with experience in the digital media industry to join our growing Digital Platforms team. The Web Services UX Designer is responsible for creating exceptional user experiences across web services platforms. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to design intuitive and user-centered interfaces that solve complex challenges and enhance overall user satisfaction. As a UX designer, you will advocate for the needs of the user while aligning with the business goals of the company, ensuring that every interaction is seamless and effective.

The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge in web systems, a digital-first approach to the customer journey, a working knowledge of agile methodologies and is detail-oriented. This position will report to the Sr Director of DCx and supervises collaborates with a collection of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • User Research & Analysis:
    • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, usability tests, and competitive analysis to understand user needs, pain points, and behavior.
    • Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions.
    • Create user personas, journey maps, and use case scenarios to guide design solutions.
  • UX Design & Prototyping:
    • Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for web services that enhance usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
    • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design concepts to stakeholders and development teams.
    • Iterate on designs based on feedback and usability testing to ensure optimal user experience.
    • Collaborate with UI designers and front-end developers to ensure seamless implementation of design solutions.
  • User Testing & Feedback:
    • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback on designs and prototypes.
    • Synthesize feedback into actionable recommendations for improving design and functionality.
    • Ensure that all designs are tested and optimized for both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketing, to ensure design solutions align with project goals and timelines.
    • Present design concepts, research findings, and UX recommendations to stakeholders, advocating for the best user experience while balancing business needs.
    • Stay up-to-date with UX design trends, web development technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance skills and contribute to the team’s success.

Qualifications:
  • Required Skills:
    • Strong understanding of UX design principles, including information architecture, interaction design, and usability.
    • Proficiency in UX design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or InVision.
    • Experience with wireframing, prototyping, and creating interactive mockups.
    • Knowledge of user research methods, including usability testing and user interviews.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and explain design concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic front-end development practices is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5+ years of experience as a UX designer, preferably in a web services or digital platform environment.
    • Proven experience designing complex web applications, SaaS platforms, or e-commerce websites.
    • Portfolio demonstrating strong user experience design work and problem-solving ability.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

An equivalent combination of years of experience and education may be considered for substitution of educational requirements.
