POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Software Engineer I to join our Engineering team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions in church communication. Reporting to the Senior Software Architect, this role offers a unique opportunity for growth and hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Provide support for customers and identify whether the request is related to user error, a bug, training, or a product feature.
  • Conduct testing and quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality software products.
  • Make active contributions to help achieve team goals and successes.
  • Collaborate with various teams to solve problems and investigate issues until they are resolved effectively.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the customer support experience.
  • Possess ability to triage tickets and issues, demonstrating problem-solving skills and seeking resolutions collaboratively.
  • Be a team player.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
6+ months of related professional experience, or Associate or Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Experience & Values
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic programming skills and SQL proficiency.
  • Familiarity with technical support tooling (e.g. Zendesk, Jira, Postman).
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to Full Stack Microsoft .NET development environment.
  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure (Azure or AWS, AWS preferred).
  • GitHub experience.
  • Experience with Jira.
  • Experience with Visual Studio and database management tools.
  • Ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications.
