The Gideons International is hiring a
UX Web Manager

📍 Nashville, TN

Purpose and Scope:
The successful User Experience (UX) web manager works proactively in a fast-paced environment, with a creative team, to develop and deploy valuable web and email design. As a leader in web presence and email communications, the purpose of this role is to facilitate online engagement between The Gideons and targeted audiences through websites, emails, and social media channels. The UX web manager also ensures members and ministry partners are experiencing a consistent brand of The Gideons International across all digital channels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design aesthetics and data-driven solutions, capable of merging these disciplines to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Essential Job Functions:
Responsive UX Web Design: Builds responsive web design using HTML and CSS. Develops intuitive user interfaces and experiences that communicate and perform. Refreshes layout of public website through updated designs, new features, routine maintenance and improvements, and content that meets needs of target audiences. Makes minor adjustments to public and ancillary sites, as needed. Manages SEO of public and ancillary sites.
Conceptualization: Conceptualizes web design solutions that provide a friendly user experience with a primary focus on mobile first, then desktop. Creates wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
Branding and Application Development: Develops and maintains web and phone applications to ensure they meet user needs and organization brand standards.     
Email Testing and Deployment: Coordinates all layout, testing, audience segmentation, and deployment of enterprise-level emails with accuracy.
AI Integration: Researches, identifies, and proposes AI solutions to enhance user engagement, conversion rates, and overall user satisfaction.
Quality Assurance: Ensures all design elements, templates, and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings according to the parameters established by management. Maintains consistent brand assets across all digital channels (email, web, and social media).
Industry Best Practices: Establishes best practices one-sheet for email deployment, social media campaigns, and digital marketing on public website.
Data and Analytics: Provides email and website performance data as needed and includes recommendations based on data insights. Studies social media data reports and provides insights and learnings.
Asset Management: Manages current digital assets across various websites, intranets, content management systems, and libraries.
Other: Participate in daily morning staff devotions; on a rotating basis serve by praying and reading Scripture in support of devotion leader.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Training & Development
Non-Physical
  • Thorough understanding of the creative process
  • Proficiency in adhering to a production schedule
  • Advanced knowledge of web standards and best practices, including new and emerging standards such as HTML5, CSS3, and AI business practices
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with SEO optimization and Google Analytics
  • Experience with Delivra or comparable email platforms—Mail Chimp, HubSpot, Campaign Monitor, or similar
  • Knowledge of and experience with SurveyMonkey
  • Collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Experience with InDesign and Adobe XD, Bootstrap, or comparable web design software
  • Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other trafficking software
  • Experience with a Content Management System
  • Experience with the MAC platform

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years’ experience in Web Design
  • Proven experience in email marketing, drip campaigns, and A/B testing, surveys
  • Proficient with Mac platform and Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Successful completion of a drug and background screen

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge, understanding, and acceptance of Gideon policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Basic knowledge of application development
  • Ability to travel as necessary
