Associate CRM Administrator

Position Summary:
This role is lead by the Operations Manager who will work to continuously maintain, support, and improve the Salesforce NPSP system at Discovering The Jewish Jesus. This role requires experience in a technical field such as computer science, engineering, or information systems. Experience in Salesforce and related online application platforms is preferred.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities encompass, but are not confined to, the following tasks:
• Work closely with the Operations Manager in the development, maintenance, and optimization of Discovering The Jewish Jesus' CRM instance (Salesforce NPSP) and related reporting, and marketing applications in compliance with security, data privacy, and organizational needs.
• Actively participate in planning and implementation of new functionality of the system 
• Assist team in providing excellent helpdesk support to operations staff.
• Create and manage documentation for new processes.
• Effectively communicate relevant CRM maintenances and changes to end users.
• Serve as a system administrator for the Salesforce Lightning environment.
• Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, workflows and other routine tasks.
• Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
• Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations.
• Coordinate the evaluation and scope of new development requests related to Salesforce Lightning changes.
• Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization.
• Continue to stay on top of new Salesforce.com capabilities by updating certifications and trailhead badges when needed.
• Working with integrated applications including Conga, StoreConnect, Classy, and PayPal
• Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed
• Identify unused or underutilized platform features
• Identify and gather requirements, translating into best practice, scalable solutions with a focus on exceptional user experience
• All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules
• Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Education and Experience:
• Preferred: Minimum two years of experience as a Salesforce.com or CRM administrator, including experience with Salesforce Lightning
• Preferred: Salesforce product knowledge and 12 months hands-on administration experience with NPSP
• Preferred: Saleforce.com Admin certified
o Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications are a plus.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree related field
• Experience in non-profit or financial technology sectors preferred 
• Demonstrated excellence in team communication and organizational skills 
• Creativity, flexibility, and the ability to manage tasks gracefully under pressure 
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving capacity 
• Ability to communicate technical solutions, strategies, and value with non-technical audience

• Strong understanding of Salesforce.com best practices and functionality.

• A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
• Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
• Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes.
• Experience with Apex is a plus.
