Concord Church is hiring a
Digital & Social Media Specialist

📍 Dallas, TX

Job Summary
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and managing digital marketing strategies and campaigns for Concord Church.

The Digital Marketing Specialist is also responsible for all digital marketing campaigns, including generating leads, conducting market research, and actively engaging with the Church to optimize the performance our digital strategies.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This is role is an individual contributor and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
 
Essential Functions
  • Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy to get the word out about Concord Church and drive potential new members to our front door.
  • Deploy successful digital marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution.
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels like content creation, content curation, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, and performance analysis.
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website that attracts and converts our target groups.
  • Create visual concepts and promotional activities.
  • Manage the digital marketing calendar.
  • Maintain the online presence and reputation of Concord Church.
  • Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, and vendors.
  • Measure, track, and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals.
  • Analyze member behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly.
  • Assist as necessary with coaching, caring for, and oversight of volunteers.
  • Attend and successfully complete all training required by Concord Church.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Management of Volunteer Resources – motivating, developing, and directing people as they volunteer, identifying the best people for the serve opportunity that is most compatible with their gifts, and partnering with staff and ministry leaders to ensure the best fit.
  • Communication - providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, email, or in person.
  • Critical Thinking – using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Judgment and Decision Making – Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of others’ reactions and understanding why they react as they do.
  • Time Management – managing one’s own time and the time of the team.
  • Business/Report Writing – communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience to include strategic planning, vision casting, and strategic implementation
 
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing, and digital communications and experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn.
  • Experience with digital marketing automation software.
  • Extensive knowledge in web publishing.
  • Proficient with SEO tools.
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends).
  • A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.

Physical Requirements
  • An employee in this position primarily works in a typical office environment and uses computers, calculators, phones, printers, and other office equipment to fulfill the position duties.
  • An employee in this position is required to do a significant amount of walking and lifting to set up for ministry activities, store supplies, and manage the inventory of items required to conduct ministry activities. An employee in this position is also required to walk, hear, speak, and stand to inspect the equipment and interact with customers, church members, and volunteers.
  • Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • The ability to manage stress, build professional and collaborative relationships, and reason through complex church business situations is required.
  • A flexible schedule is required since this position requires evening and weekend work.
 
Travel Requirements
  • Minimal travel is required for this position; however, a valid Texas drivers’ license and acceptable motor vehicle record is required.
