What This Role is All About Is this the right seat for you?
The Director of Sales will report to the CEO and own responsibility for revenue generation deriving from new business. You are a customer and brand evangelist and methodical sales leader who focuses on
growing and scaling a world-class sales team. You consider the big picture and plan through the details to execute through others effectively, and you are hands-on and “in the weeds” to support your team and goals. You’ll develop a broad and deep understanding of the marketplace, our competitors, and how to baseline and grow our market footprint to be the solution of choice. Inherently, you are a polished
and relatable communicator, with high humility and an innate ability to inspire teams to exceed goals and deliver results. Of course, you don’t work alone; as a values-based servant leader, you will work with teams and leaders across our organization to ensure we knock it out of the park on our sales goals!
Your responsibilities will include, though not necessarily be limited to, the following:

Your responsibilities will include, though not necessarily be limited to, the following:
- Manage the existing Sales team (4 AEs, 1 BDR, and 1 Rev Ops) and expand as necessary to more than double recurring revenue generation over the next 3 years
- Continually iterate on the most optimal activities/campaigns to maximize conversion of MQLs in a high-volume, low ACV (~$1-3k ACV), 30-60 day sales cycle environment
- Establish strategy for revenue generation across all sales channels for new customers and continually improve sales processes and operations to achieve results every quarter
- Generate revenue plans / targets and provide regular forecasts to the senior management team
- Establish accountability within the sales function by developing appropriate targets and coordinating compensation and progression plans that reward achievement
- Continually upskill the team through mentorship, training, and recruitment while implementing robust processes for new business development that optimize efficiency
- Implement high-performance growth organization best practices, to include identifying ICP, developing simple/beautiful assets (e.g., sales deck, proposals), optimizing customer experience
- Make recommendations to pricing and packaging, product improvements, and account management strategies to maximize revenue opportunity
- Serve as a key company executive: be a culture evangelist, motivate the broader team, propel cross-functional communication, engage in quarterly planning sessions, drive company strategy
Requirements:
- 3+ years of progressive experience and demonstrated success leading a sales team, with a track record of growing recurring revenue in B2B SaaS sales
- Successfully led a sales team through a transition to value-based selling in a small ACV, high volume environment
- Experience in a high-volume SaaS organization, ideally with a focus on building revenue with ministries, non-profits, and/or mission-minded organizations
- Demonstrated experience building, inspiring, and managing a high-performing sales team in a high-growth environment while driving cross-functional processes
- Experience and capability in using SalesForce CRM to optimize sales and marketing activity
- Exceptional strategic planning, business acumen, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Nice to have: Experience with RingCentral communications system and RingSense revenue intelligence tool
