Remote Social Media Specialist

📍 Remote

This position will assist the Social Media Manager in the day-to-day execution of social media across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and potentially additional channels through writing, scheduling, strategizing, and creative ideas.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
  • Promote FamilyLife’s blogs, podcasts, events, products, and app across social platforms.
  • Assist with monitoring comments on posts and engages with them. “Like” all positive, helpful comments and respond to those that merit a response.
  • Monitor reviews of our Facebook page, and leave a comment for those that give us 5 stars.
  • Schedule posts using Hootsuite and potentially other applications
  • Research incoming broadcast guests on subject matters, social media following, and digital presence to help determine how we may best utilize them on social
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to create mood boards for each season that can dictate the look and feel of our imagery for that time period
  • Stay up to speed on social media best practices and upcoming social platforms
  • Consistently present fresh ideas for engaging on social media
  • Assist the Social Media Manager with the overall strategy
  • Assist with minor graphic design and video editing for social media on a case-by-case basis
  • Stay on top of social media trends and assist with ways to implement new ideas to FamilyLife’s social strategy

Knowledge of:
  • Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Social media management tools like Hootsuite, and social media best practices.
  • Graphic Design through Canva and/or Adobe Suite applications
  • Video Editing through phone applications and/or Final Cut Pro, Adobe Suite Applications
  • Knowledge of Instagram Reels
  • Google Suite
