Remote Sr. Analyst, Salesforce

The Need
For 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence by 2030, we are seeking a Sr. Analyst, Salesforce to partner with key business partners and the Salesforce Platform team to support and enhance the Salesforce system.

This role will direct requirements gathering, backlog/request management, and training support of all teams that utilize Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud and integrated applications. They will define and document internal and external user needs, data requirements and definitions, help guide development activities using an agile methodology and actively build solutions to prioritized user stories. They will act as the liaison for users to communicate and validate business priorities and system design for the Salesforce platform, while providing training, testing and deployment support for front line users.

This is a hybrid position based in the DC area or remote in the US, and reports to the Global Director, Salesforce.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support, guidance, and training to users on the Salesforce system so that they can own the operational aspects of the system and support their end users on operational transactions;
  • Engage with business partners and users to gather, write, and qualify requirements. Create clear requirements documentation for user acceptance, cross functional roles and guidance for external consultants (as needed);
  • Work with business partners on all new requests to determine urgency and solve all urgent problems quickly.  Ensure all non-urgent requests are updated in backlog for prioritization;
  • Create knowledge base articles for users on new functionality in key systems;
  • Actively participate as a member of sprint team with assigned sprint responsibilities, configuration changes, UAT and communication/change management activities, to ensure completion of documentation, testing and user stories in sprint cycles;
  • Qualifies defects/enhancement request, monitors ticket queue & escalates issues as needed to supporting teams. Maintains low volume ticket queue and ensures clear tracking of new enhancement requests in the backlog;
  • Coordinate system testing – developing testing scenarios, managing testing sessions, and adjusting training accordingly;
  • Develop networks with other customers within the Salesforce Community to leverage best practices for IJM;
  • Partner with Global Technology Solutions teams to maintain system security and protocols;
  • Take lead in business process re-engineering for system enhancements, including documenting workflows, etc. in strong collaboration with governance committees and stakeholder groups;
  • Work with business partners to prioritize new enhancements and engage governance teams to facilitate roadmap prioritization;
  • Provide guidance and oversight of small projects planned and facilitated by other analysts;
  • Plan and execute small to medium complex projects, including oversight of external consultant workload and other analysts (such as reorganizations, module reconfiguration, etc.);
  • Lead solution design in partnership with Salesforce Solution Architect and other SMEs on system enhancements;
  • Oversee requests coming from business partners to Analysts to ensure urgent requests are addressed in a timely manner.  Ensure all non-urgent requests are updated in backlog for prioritization;
  • Lead user acceptance review, testing, and sign-off meetings with business partners, external consultants and product team to ensure delivery of satisfactory product;
  • Build reports and KPI dashboards as requested by user groups or stakeholders;
  • Provide guidance as a trusted advisor on system capabilities to business partners on business processes, ROI analysis, best practices, industry standards, etc.; and
  • Participate in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.

Requirements: 

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience and certification;
  • 7+ years of professional work experience;
  • 5+ years SDLC, Salesforce or similar Casework/CRM systems experience, including new module implementation, project management, issue management, communication, and change management (prior experience with global system support and deployment a plus); and
  • Experience in an Agile work environment required.

Technical Competencies
  • Experience writing and executing UAT criteria or scripts for technical system requirements;
  • Experience in Salesforce or other Object-Oriented Database required;
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud or similar email automation system in a CRM-integrated environment preferred;
  • High proficiency in Excel or with other data analysis tools required;
  • Experience configuring in an enterprise system required;
  • Experience soliciting and capturing user requirements with industry standard analyst methods; and
  • Basic Salesforce Admin certification or willingness to complete within 90 days required.

*What is a statement of faith?
