Remote Senior Data Analyst

📍 Remote

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BIG PICTURE:
As the Senior Data Analyst, you will assist the Director of Direct Response by providing fundraising, marketing and expense analysis through custom dashboards and creating reports and presentations. You will oversee the work of a data analyst, plus outside partners and contractors. You will provide insights and solutions that will impact the lives of millions of people around the world who seek the Eternal Word, Jesus Christ, and desire to grow in their Catholic faith.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Assist the Director of Direct Response in developing reporting, analysis and strategic recommendations in support of the direct response marketing and fundraising goals of Mission Advancement.
  • Analyze our charitable revenue funnel across campaigns and initiatives and develop live dashboards that drive data-decision making forward.
  • Perform complex querying, analyzing and tracking of all aspects of the faith and giving journey, working directly with Direct Response team leadership to deliver insights about our donors and prospects and evaluate campaign performance.
  • Develop data-driven lead generation and lead score modeling (attribution) by capturing and importing content consumer data, analyzing the engagement with digital channels and evaluating CRM touchpoints.
  • Manage and prepare dashboards through PowerBI to show progress on revenue goals and trends – visualize the data in easy-to-understand formats, with a focus on effective storytelling.
  • Assist the Director of Direct Response in developing an annual forecast.
  • Analyze data and aggregate forecasts from in-progress campaigns and revenue streams and track actual to forecast.
  • Build donor and prospect profiles that demonstrate interests, characteristics and behaviors for purpose of creating more meaningful interactions and journeys.
  • Identify at-risk donors and develop reporting strategies for proactive retention.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Direct Response to innovate continuously on new methods of donor and prospect data capture, standardization and trend identification.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources as a key responsibility (HubSpot, Google Analytics, internal data bases, and more) and validate integrations.
  • Ensure integrity of data structure, working with internal and external teams to drive best practices and standardize/apply data business and hygiene rules.

ABOUT YOU:
  • You possess 5+ years of experience driving analytics initiatives to impact marketing and/or fundraising.
  • You are proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL) and scripting languages, for example Python and R.
  • You are capable of generating independent ideas to enhance database quality, projects, and functions, ensuring a comprehensive view of the donor by breaking down silos.
  • You possess outstanding problem solving, research/data analysis and resolution skills.
  • You have exceptional skills in attention to detail, communication and time management.
  • You are able to work independently and within team in a fast-paced, high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • You are experienced in transforming data using visualization tools, like PowerBI.
  • You are experienced using web analytics and Google Analytics tool set as well as working with RESTful APIs for purposes of data integrations.
  • You possess hands-on data experience in a CRM environment, such as Salesforce.
  • You are experienced with optimization testing.
  • You have practical statistical expertise and understanding of Omni-channel campaigns.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Business.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • You are a practicing Catholic.
  • Master’s degree or advanced experience in data science, data engineering or related field.
