What You'll Do:
As the Sr. Director, Product Marketing you will have deep expertise in payments and giving technology to drive go-to-market and adoption strategies for our payment solutions.
This role requires a visionary leader and strategic thinker who can translate complex payment capabilities into compelling value propositions for customers and prospects. You will play a critical role in shaping our business and market engagement accelerate growth and adoption of our payment offerings.
The ideal candidate seamlessly blends a robust background in B2B SaaS technology with exceptional strategic and marketing acumen. This role will collaborate with Product, Sales, Success and other stakeholders to develop and implement product marketing strategies that fuel pipeline growth, drive revenue, and boost the adoption of our products and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Market & Customer Insights:
- Conduct deep market analysis to stay ahead of evolving payment trends, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings.
- Engage with customers, merchants, and partners to understand pain points and design solutions that enhance payment experiences.
- Develop business cases for new payment features, leveraging data-driven insights to inform prioritization.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Partner with functional leadership to optimize pricing models, monetization strategies, and adoption.
- Drive go-to-market strategies for new features, working closely with Marketing, Sales, Product Management and Revenue Operations.
- Advocate for a best-in-class user experience, ensuring that our solutions are intuitive, secure, and scalable across markets.
Strategic Product Positioning:
- Develop and implement effective product positioning strategies based on market trends, competitive analysis, and customer insights.
- Define unique value propositions for each product to differentiate them in the marketplace.
- Create compelling and consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
- Work closely with subject matter experts and the content team to develop high-quality thought leadership, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, presentations, and more.
Support & Enablement:
- Drive marketing initiatives that promote same-store sales growth by educating existing customers on new features, expanded payment capabilities, and best practices.
- Create communication plans that encourage digital payment adoption among customers, supporting a shift toward mobile, online, and automated transactions
- Develop and deliver materials for the sales team to effectively communicate product value propositions and features.
- Collaborate with the demand generation and vertical product marketing team members to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive demand and generate leads.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to make informed recommendations for product enhancements and marketing strategies.
Who You Are:
- Passionate about social good and enthusiastic about helping purpose driven organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of experience in product marketing or similar roles in technology/SaaS environment
- Experience managing payments, fintech, digital giving products strongly preferred
- A proven track record of leading and delivering results in high-growth environments
- Ability to influence a wide audience at all levels and to work cross-functionally, partnering across Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Onboarding, and Success
- Strong positioning and storytelling skills with the experience to take in ideas from a broad set of stakeholders and narrow them down to a sharp and concise message.
- Experience navigating matrixed organizations
- Great project management skills and confidence to work within a dynamic environment – when priorities change rapidly, you’re able to adapt quickly
- Ability to work independently, make decisions in the face of ambiguity, navigate complexity and iterate fast
Physical Considerations:
- Ability to work in a general office environment
- Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone
Travel Considerations:
- Domestic and/or international travel required, estimated up to 10%
